What is a leg bag fixation device?
A leg bag fixation device is used to secure the urinary leg bag to the leg (calf or thigh).
It supports the bag, not the catheter tube.
Why this matters:
- prevents the weight of the bag from pulling on the catheter
- keeps the bag stable under clothing
- improves comfort and mobility
- reduces risk of skin irritation due to movement
What is a catheter fixation device?
A catheter fixation device is used to secure the catheter tube to the patient’s body (usually the thigh or abdomen).
Its purpose is to hold the catheter firmly in place, so it doesn’t move or pull.

- reduces the risk of the catheter being accidentally pulled out

A catheter clip sticks to the skin and has a rotating part that holds the catheter securely where it splits into two. Using a catheter clip holds it in place, limiting friction, which can cause discomfort.
The Ugo Fix Gentle for example has soft, skin-friendly silicone technology, meaning that it attaches very securely, without causing any damage or irritation – even on delicate or sensitive skin.
One Ugo Fix Gentle can be used for up to seven days and can be easily removed and repositioned without losing adhesion.
