At Vyne, our warehouse in Bradford ensures that all our customers get the products they need, when they need them! Absolutely everything is packaged and delivered from there, from our sheath products to our lubrication products. Unfortunately, this means that our warehouse produces a lot of waste and some of that waste can end up in the landfill.
In 2020 alone, paper and cardboard waste in the EU accounted for 41.2% of all waste produced during the year...
So, we decided that it’s important for us to find ways of reducing this.
That’s why in late 2021, we made the decision to purchase our very own baler for the warehouse. This will help us streamline the recycling of our waste materials and save many trees from being cut down!
Our baler works by compressing loose waste and recyclable materials such as plastic, paper and cardboard in order to make waste more manageable. The compacted waste is then sent off back to our packaging supplier to be recycled.
Between getting the baler and our first collection, we were able to recycle 31 pallets of cardboard and plastic all in one trip.

At Vyne, we’re always looking to embrace new technologies and methods to reinvent the way we go about things. We already have several new tools we're looking at across our warehouse and office - big and small! One of which is our brand-new all electric Vyne van.
